White Oak Pastures grass-fed beef is processed in their own USDA-inspected on-farm beef abattoir. There are only two such facilities in the country. Calves are born on their  farm, to mothers who were born there, from grandmothers who were born there. They do not take shortcuts. No grain, hormone implants, or antibiotics are given to thier cattle. No chemical fertilizers or pesticides are used on their land.
